Happy Anniversary Candlelite Inn
It's been 15 years that we have been here and have met so many friends. I would like to thank you-old and new-for visiting the Inn. The package is for the month of May, midweek only-Sunday thru Thursday. You package includes your stay of 2 nights with the 2nd night at half price; a full gourmet breakfast each morning with dessert; bag full of goodies for area attractions; afternoon refreshments into the evening and a special take home gift.

This package cannot be combined with any other of our packages. Packages start at $208.98 which includes tax and your 2nd night at half off.
 Maple Sugar Weekend
A special weekend is planned at the lovely Candlelite Inn and with the State of NH-New Hampshire Maple Weekend. This special weekend will be on March 28-30, 2008.  Your 2-night getaway includes light hors d'oeuvres on Friday evening as you unwind from a hectic work week. A full maple breakfast will be served each morning. We'll provide you with a map of the area "sugar houses". You'll see maple syrup made the old fashioned way. After a day of touring, slip away for a romantic sleigh ride through the fields of Ragged View Farm. (Spring rides depend on snow cover.) Or soothe tired muscles with a maple sugar body scrub at the Garden Spa.
Then back to the Inn for maple hot chocolate and maple sweets. Upon departure a Maple Gift Basket will be given as a pleasant reminder of the sweet smell of maple that waffled through the air.

 Bird Watchers Getaway
The Audubon Society of New Hampshire has 32 Wildlife sanctuaries throughout New Hampshire. The Society provides a habitat for wildlife and places where people can go and connect with nature. Many offer trails for hiking, several sanctuaries have canoe access, some have special weekends and events planned and many, you are able to take a picnic lunch with you. Included in your weekend getaway package is your lodging for 2 nights with a full breakfast each morning; a birder's gift basket with info and trail maps and the Candlelite Inn will make a $10 donation to the Audubon Society.

Stargazing Getaway
Soar through space and experience the night sky as you sit back in the Christa McAuliffe Planetarium in Concord viewing the stars, planets and other celestial objects. Bring good binoculars or your telescope and view the sky on the grounds of the Candlelite Inn. Package includes 2 tickets to the Planetarium, Calendar of Events 2008 of celestial events in the night skies, an afternoon cheese tray on the gazebo porch and plenty of stars for viewing. A medium quality telescope is available here at the Inn. June,July, August & September.

 Romance on the Lake
Tuesday through Sunday. Package includes your lodging for 2 nights with a full, summer breakfast each morning including dessert. Enjoy a scrumptious buffet on the MV Kearsarge as you cruise on Lake Sunapee.

 For History Lovers
Step back in time as you visit The John Hay Estate, the Kearsarge Indian Museum and the NH Telephone Museum.  A Mother's Love
We are celebrating Mother's Day throughout the month of May. Package includes Mom’s lodging for 2 nights in one of our beautifully decorated guest rooms, with a spring bouquet of flowers and a box of homemade chocolates waiting for Mom to arrive. A scrumptious breakfast each morning before she sets out to explore the Lake Sunapee Region. When Mom make her way back to the Inn, she will have her choice of either an Afternoon Tea and Cookies-teas from Portsmouth Tea Company or sparkling Cider and a fruit tray out on the porch or by the pond.  Last Days of Summer
As the summer winds down, escape this Labor Day Weekend for a 3-night getaway at the Candlelite Inn located in the Lake Sunapee Region. Your package includes 2 tickets aboard the MV Mt Sunapee for a cruise on the Lake with the captain narrating the folklore of Lake Sunapee and its historical landmarks; 2 tickets to an evening performance of "The Unexpected Guest" by Agatha Christie at the New London Barn Playhouse; 2 tickets to the Hopkinton State Fair as you wonder through the midway, looking at the exhibits and looking over the many scheduled events. You might want to order-an additional charge-a picnic basket to explore the area with its historical building, covered bridges and the wide array of attractions.  Blazin' a Trail
Come and enjoy a ride on Granite Rose Morgan's beautiful back country roads and woodsy trails-right here in Bradford. Your package includes a full gourmet breakfast each morning-including dessert; 2 passes for a 1 hour guided horseback tour and sparkling French limonade and cupcakes on the gazebo porch.  An Evening at the Playhouse
June through Labor Day Weekend. The New London Barn Playhouse is the oldest continuously operating summer stock theater. So come and relax and enjoy a performance of some very talented summer stock players. Packages start at $350.00 and include your lodging for 2 nights with breakfast each morning; 2 tickets to the playhouse and sparkling cider and cheese tray on the gazebo porch prior to the performance. Rates are for evening performances only and do not include tax.

  4th of July at the Inn
Celebrate the 4th this year here at the Inn. I've been told by the Independence Day Committee that it's going to be better than last year. There's something for everyone-chicken BBQ, craft fair, band concert, just to give you a sampling of some of the activities. The festivities will be held July 4th & 6th and everything is in walking distance from the Inn. Grab a chair or sit on the curb-as you did when you were a kid-and enjoy the parade. After the fantastic display of fireworks-popcorn included-come in for some mouth watering desserts. Have a happy 4th here at the Candlelite Inn.

 Kayaking on the Blackwater River
Explore the Blackwater River. Take a relaxing tour in quiet water and spot various waterlife from beaver, heron and turtles to bass, trout and pickerel. Safety features, equipment and paddle strokes will be demonstrated. If the water is warm enough--enjoy a swim. Tours are Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays from 2-5 PM. Package includes your lodging for 2 days with breakfast each morning; kayak passes for 2 with kayak rental; box lunch for 2 and afternoon refreshments into the evening.  A Fair to Remember
Midweek only-August 2-10.This year, the League of NH Craftsmen is celebrating it 75th year of handcrafted excellence. If you enjoy fine handcrafts, you'll enjoy this crafts fair. From furniture, jewelry, glass to pottery metalwork and weaving. And that is only a sampling that you will see at this juried craft show. Located at Mt Sunapee Resort which is only 9 miles from the Inn.
